There are two main signs that your system is not operating correcly:
* If your keypad is beeping it's warning you that there's something wrong
* The system sounds the alarm when it's not triggered (false alarms)
What to do if your security system has a problem:
* If you have a security system and it's under warranty, contact the company with which you have a contract. You paid for their service, so make them honor it.
* If your warranty has expired, you can either contact the same company that installed the system, or another company and have them send a repair person.
* You will be obligated to pay for their fees, including labor, parts and the trip to your house.
The Problems when they arrive:
I provide support to alarm technicians.
You would not imagine how many call in for help for the most basic problems.
It is like they came off the street yesterday & today repairing alarm systems.
They'll spend 3 hours on a problem that should take 5 minutes. Guess who pays for this time - YOU DO!
I have been told by technicians personally that they have a "quota" on sales to meet every month,
& if they don't meet it their job is at stake. You can guess what happens when this person comes to your house.
Licensed or unlicensed, makes no difference. If you see them using a phone within 15 minutes of arriving at your home, beware, they are probably already lost & looking for help.
What KSS can do for you, When, Conditions etc.:
#1 Many companies charge $60+ to come out & $40-60/hr after that with a minimum of 1 hour charge.
You can spend a fortune at this. I will support you via, email, over the phone, and in person, if available.
If I deem I cannot fix it you will not be charged!
#2 As stated earlier, I do have a full time job helping the alarm companies with their problems, so I am only available at nights and on weekends with 48 hours notice.
#3 There are so many security systems out there that no one can be an expert on all of them & I will not pretend to be.
I will only work on systems that I know I can help you with.
#4 If you need parts you will only be charged what they cost me, but you may have to wait up to 2 weeks for the parts to arrive & be installed.
#5 Owner of system must be present at time services are rendered to notify monitoring company tests are being conducted.
