6271 Color Touchscreen
The 6271 series of tourchsreen keypads, aka aui keypads, offer the end user a great way to make their home look futuristic & break away from the regular old looking puch-button keypads. The voice version of this keypad allows the keypad to speak the zones that have beenb tripped, as well as leave a message for another family member to be played later. Although you can program your panel with this keypad, it is rather slow when trying to perform this function. The background can be setup to display your own picture via some download software from honeywell's website. You cannot just dump a .jpg or .gif image in unfortunately. You have to convert that picture into something that will fit on the keypad screen. Despite this, the abiulity to add a company logo or a family picture is quite appealing. Pictures are loaded via a standard sd card through a slot in the top of the keypad. You can program output buttons to turn on lights, or other devices, from the keypad, depending on what Honeywell panel you are hooking it to.
