Review

We use to love to go to this cracker barrel on Friday nights for cod fish. We would still love to go but it got to where maybe one time the fish would be fixed fresh and like fish should be but then the next Friday it may be cold and soggy or even if hot it will be soggy, the corn bread warmed over. As a cook, I do know the difference and can tell instantly which tell me that the fish was fixed ahead or that the grease is not hot enough. We have had pieces of fish with nothing to speak of inside all the breading. The price has been raised enough that it should cover better help. We have nothing close to us so we would drive 40 min. each way on Friday nights for this fish and even though a long drive just for fish we would do this until this started happening.

This was on the cooks ....now some of the waitress or waiters are another story. Have you ever had the plates actually thrown on the table.... well that has happened as well. They expect a tip yet give poor service. If you do find a good one and ask for them, well .....good luck. Their tables are always full. I realize Cracker Barrel has no problem picking up someone to replace us.
