Mama's Custard

6 cups milk
2 1/2 cups sugar
7 eggs
Almond and/or vanilla flavoring to taste

Cook in double broiler. Bring to boil. Stir only one way. Strain. Put in ice water to cool. Stir while cooling. When desired thickness, pour into pitcher and chill. Top with meringue and chill until ready to drink.

I call this Mama's custard because no one else has ever heard of it. Custard is what you eat to most people. It is similiar to egg nog, only you will never have egg nog that is anything like this.
