1 box Duncan Hines Sprice Cake Mix
1 - 14 oz. bag caramels
1/2 cup canned milk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup walnuts  (opt)
4 med. Granny Smith Apples, peeled & diced

Prepare Cake Mix according to directions. Add diced apples. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased & floured 13 x 9 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 19 min. While cake bakes - melt caramels with milk & butter over low heat. When cake comes out - pour mixture over cake. Spread remaining batter over filling & bake 15 - 20 min.longer. Sprinkle nuts on top
